Non- Discrimination Policy
It is the policy of Children In Need, Inc not to discriminate against any person requesting services, because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, family status, age, national origin, or disability.
This policy shall be posted within all interview and waiting areas of Children In Need, Inc. to assure that all persons are fully aware.
School Absenteeism Policy
It is our policy to discourage absenteeism. If Washington County Schools are open, your children should be in school. CIN’s mission is to keep children in school by providing the necessary items for them to be successful. Please remember, CIN has a direct tie to the school system and we cannot dismiss the issue of absenteeism. If your children are here when school is in session we will not serve you. No excuse will work. If your child is sick, has pink eye, head lice, etc. they should be at home. If they have an appointment, they need to stay at school until their appointment or go back to school after their appointment.

AS OF NOVEMBER 3, 2011 CHILDREN IN NEED HAS CHANGED THE SHOPPING "ALLOWANCE" FROM THREE (3) BOTTOMS PER CHILD TO TWO (2) BOTTOMS PER CHILD.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE TO CHANGES FOR ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 1, 2011
In order to receive your VOUCHER AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES for the summer of 2012, please make sure your information is up to date and you have visited Children in Need, on shopping days, at least three (3) times between September 1, 2011 and May 31, 2012.
*EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY (as of September 1, 2011) WE WILL NO LONGER BE OPEN ON THE LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH FOR CLIENT SHOPPING. If you are unable to shop during our designated days (Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) please be advised that you may contact our office to assign a friend or a relative to shop for you.
