Who can visit Children In Need for services?
If your children are eligible for "free or reduced" lunch then you can come to Children
In Need, Inc for services. To find out if your child is eligible, visit Washington County Public Schools

CLIENT MONTHLY VISITS
- Bring your “Household Benefits Notification” letter. If you do not have your letter
please call 301-766-2890 at the Washington County Board of Education Food & Nutrition
Services Department. If your child is enrolled in Head Start you will need an Application
for Services from Head Start. Eligibility is from October 1st to September 30th
and you will need an updated letter each year.
- Infants and toddlers (siblings) will be listed in the computer for clothing only-
5 outfits per child. NO toiletries, socks or underwear.
- You can visit the center ONCE A MONTH.
- The center is open for clients on Wednesdays & Fridays from 9am to 12pm.
- Check in and show a picture ID
- Each month each child that is registered in school is eligible for:
- 5 outfits
- 1 pair underwear
- 1 pair socks
- 1 coat
- 1 pair shoes (if we have)
- 1 hat & pair of gloves (winter months)
- 1 to 2 toys (if we have)
- Toiletries
School supplies are given during our “Back to School” campaign in July & August.
Reasonable requests for refills will be honored, as needed.
VOUCHER
- Bring your “Household Benefits Notification” letter. If you do not have your letter

Services Department. If your child is enrolled in Head Start you will need an Application
for Services from Head Start.
- You must have used the Center AT LEAST TWICE between September 1st through May 31st
to be eligible for a voucher.
- Keep your address current with our office.
- The Board of Directors of Children In Need, Inc. is solely responsible for the voucher
program. The Board determines each year whether we will have the voucher program
and how much the vouchers will be. No other organization is involved in the process.
